I was not able to shorten the Onedrive root folder, so we canceled our Onedrive account within 30 days and successfully set up Dropbox for Business. Both Onedrive for Business and Dropbox for Business will force you to use their root folder, so I was not able to move "E:\shared\Documents" to "E:\Onedrive for Business (client name)\Documents".
